Pinterest has finally released apps for Android, iPad and iPhone which are now available from its website, and of course from the Google Play Store and iOS App Stores respectively.

Announcing the apps in a blog post yesterday Pinterest stated that “we want you to go offline and do things that you love”. So to enable users to do that, the apps for iOS and Android have been released. The app allows users to pin, discover and access account information from wherever they are (providing they have a data or WiFi connection).

With custom designed Apps for Android the app is compatible for Android phones and tablets regardless of the screen size, or resolution, whilst the iPad app is said to give users the best Pinterest experience yet. Advertised as allowing users to sit on the sofa, or out travelling users can continue to discover, save and organise the things that interest them. Furthermore, the iPad app allows users to swipe between screens and pins, as well as having a built in web browser so users do not have to leave the app to view content on others’ pinned favourite sites.

Furthermore, the iPhone app allows for faster navigation, and allows users to see more than they did before. Users who do not have a Pinterest account already can login or register using their existing Facebook or Twitter details, or even just an email address.

Also some good news for Kindle Fire owners – you will be able to download the app from the Amazon Appstore later this week. For those on other platforms without a dedicated app Pinterest would like to remind you they have a mobile site at m.pinterest.com.
