BBC iPlayer iOS App Updated with Retina Graphics

The BBC have updated its iPlayer application for iOS to version 1.3.2. New in this version is improved graphics to make use of the Retina display on the new iPad, as well as improved video performance.

Furthermore, the Beeb have further improved accessibility within the application and improved upon the Voice Over actions.

Other changes including general bug fixing, and tidying.

The BBC has had a great couple of weeks with the London Olympics, and as part of that their Olympics mobile app was downloaded 1.9 million times! Its a shame they didn’t push out this update before the Olympics, but its better late than never, and improved video performance is never something we could turn a blind eye to.
