Lenovo Announces ThinkPad Tablet 2 with Windows 8

Lenovo has announced the replacement for its existing ThinkPad Tablet in the form of the ThinkPad Tablet 2 which will run Windows 8, and features an Intel Atom Processor.

Measuring in with a 10.1-inch 1366×768 IPS display, a 10 hour battery life, NFC Support, optional 3G/4G as well as a micro-HDMI out, and an 8-megapixel rear shooter with a 2-megapixel forward facing one this all comes in at just 9.8mm thick, and with a weight less than 600 grams.

The ThinkPad Tablet 2 will also feature a stylus pen, and a built in fingerprint scanner for additional security. In addition to running the full desktop version of Windows 8, Lenovo is also said to release a keyboard dock for the Tablet which will give additional USB ports, as well as an ethernet jack.

Launching in October alongside Windows 8 there isn’t long to wait, but at this time no pricing information has been released.
